On The First Day of Christmas,,,,,

Up Early! Well, maybe not as early as on a work day or school day. But it is 7:30 and I could be sleeping in. But the alarm in my head usually goes off around 6 or 7. I think I'll do some walking and drink a bottle of water.

Tim had to rush off to the Dollar Market. My brother wanted him to make the garlic bread from scratch to go with our Christmas Eve dinner tonight. I am making Tim's dad's dish he has made for many years. It is a pasta shrimp dish. It is great with the garlic bread. Kenny is making the bread to start it in his bread machine then Tim will finish it up here.


Ashley came rushing up to me in a panic around noon. I was worried at first.Then she told me her and Tim wanted me to open one gift early! I was all for that! It was a big box and heavy. I was happily surprised to see a new Cannon Rebel SLR that does video recording too!! Wow! I am ecstatic and surprised! This is my 3rd rebel. The 2nd we bought just because we thought the first was broke. Turned out the card was corrupted and all I needed was a new card. I think I'll take my first one to my mother's house. Then she can enjoy taking great and easy pictures anytime. Also, I will have it there ,handy for when I want to take pictures at her house.
Obviously they wanted me to open it so I can use it for Christmas :) I'll be having a blast tomorrow!!

Around 1pm Tim's dad called and said he would not make it today. He woke up during the night not feeling well. My brother's and mom showed up around 4:30. WE had dinner and then opened our gifts to each other. Ashley loved her gift and played with it the rest of the night. I enjoyed playing with my new Canon and I think terry did as well. He showed me how to use the huge flash. We learned it is to bright for inside pics. But it worked great outside! I did some videoing and continued after everyone left. Ashley gave Kenny a new " Alabama " shirt and terry got lots of Jerky and candy. We had bought his before we had the t-shirt idea. I think he would have liked a shirt. Mom got a water pitcher that filters the water. There was another gift somewhere but Ashley didn't find it among all the others. She will have something to open from Ashley tomorrow. Tim opened his box of chocolates and I got a bread saver. The adults in my family do not exchange gifts. We agreed years ago to just buy for the kids. Ashley does give a small gift to everyone. I think it teaches her to give as well as receive.

I did allot of videoing. It is simple and pretty fun. I also got a let night walk in. I was way to energized to lay around watching movies. Tim was into watching "Lonesome Dove" and Ashley was occupied with her newest gift that was from my mom and brothers all together.

Ashley just showed me a cute video she made and Tim is quietly in the "work ot" room putting together a punching bag to Ashley from her daddy. It is to help her practice Tae Kwon Do. Better a bag than me and a pillow! (-:
