December days

                  DECEMBER DAYS
After decorating the Gingerbread Tree,I got started on the family tree! It is the biggest and we place it in the den. The den is where we are usually at together a couple times a week watch TV as a family. This tree holds all of our Hallmark and more traditional ornaments. there are crafty ones Ashley has made in school, friends have sent and those mom gave me when she moved and doesn't seem to have interest or more like doesn't have the energy to put out her decorations anymore. So now they are here. I guess when Ashley grows up and is on her own she will inherit all of these decorations, with exception of a few :)

Since I got behind, I thought I could share what we have been up to in our preparation's and our enjoyment getting ready for Christmas!
I always have Ashley a few surprise ornaments each year. Every year we get the Celebration/Holiday Barbie. That is the one she always gets before Christmas. Here is the 2011 ornament.

OOPS! I always manage to break something :(

Ashley really liked the "Wicked Witch" ornament. I always like to get one that represents something she has loved or been into representing the year. Since seeing  the Off Broadway production of " Wicked" and that being her all time favorite production. She really was eyeing this ornament. So of course I bought it and gave it to her early :) Maybe if she is good Santa will bring her "Glenda" the good witch to go with the "Wicked" witch.

I did a little baking. Trying to get some goodies together to send my 3 nephews Tate,Leo and Zach. And the other's in Texas. KC,Adara and Darian.

My Christmas purse make me happy :)
I decided since Ashley was not putting a tree in her room this year( Space issues for her) I would make it into a football tree! I have out 3 teams. Titans,Alabama and texas A&M ornaments and hats on this little guy :)

It sits in our office.

One of the ornaments mom has let me use to center the football tree. of course I prefer Alabama over all :)

Yesterday Ashley found this Nutcracker and had to buy it for Andrew, part of his Christmas. he is a big UT fan. I don't really like this guy hanging out in our house too long! Ashley agrees it is an act against nature, but for him she sacrifices.
On Saturday, My "BFF" Terri's gift to me came in the mail! Every year her tradition is sending me a cute GB ornamaent from Lenox. I just LOVE them to death! What a fun treat to look forward too! I never know what each one will be holding. This little guy went right on my GB tree, along with his reletives from years past. This is year 10!

All the GB ornaments from the past 10 years!
