NEW YEARS EVE

Today was overwhelming. Woke up around 8 this morning. I knew a couple of Ashley's friends would be at the house by 11a.m. to ride with us to Hannah's mothers memorial. The service was to start at 1p.m.  I felt tired from staying up late and sleeping in. I wondered what I would wear!  I pulled out the black dress I last wore to my dads funeral, I had forgotten about it all these years.. It was a little big on me back then, 6 years ago, it fits better now. I did a little work in the basement to prepare for Ashley's party tonight. Got dressed and when Lauren and Christy were here and when we all were ready we headed out.

There is nothing worse then being on your way to a memorial service  dressed in black and realize you are low on gas! It would just have to wait till after!

The service was very nice. It reminded me more of a Catholic service. Similar to my dads in some ways. At dad's I remember the song he wanted was  "Ave Maria". Oh how beautiful it was! Gina had beautiful music too. So heavenly like angels singing. It was hard to hold back my emotion's. Between the songs, the speakers and a letter from Hannah to her mom read out loud. We got to see Hannah at the reception. I think having many of her friends from school there made her very happy.

Lauren, Ashley and Christy
We got home around 3:30. I found out I had an offer on my listing on Whirlaway circle! Just listed it a week ago! So between trying to get all that done and get to Wal-Mart for party goodies I was getting a bit worn out. My client excepted the offer pretty quickly. I sat in Wal-Mart parking lot about 15 minutes talking to him about it before going in. The kids started showing up at 6p.m.. I had stopped to get pizza on the way home and we quickly realized we needed more. So I ran out for a 3rd cheese pizza.. We had 10 girls here.

Tim's dad got in earlier. he hung out with us in the den watching movies while the girls  hung out in the basement and wore outside playing some kinda tag game. Can you believe how warm it has been. It was no coloer than 50'!

Tim and I watched 3 movies. We made it to midnight. We could hear the girls screaming "Happy New Year"! Then they all came up for their sparkling cider. All but Lauren who missed the cider by running to the bathroom right after she got to help bring in the New Year. Soon after Tim and I went to bed. I think it was about 1a.m.
Toasting in the new year with some sparkling cider in a "RED SOLO CUP"!
We are SO TIRED!! It's midnight!!
