13 days till Christmas

This morning I got up and had to get moving. Took Ashley to school. Came home and did my walking and a short work out. Today is mom's Dr appointment in Nashville and I always take her. It's not a long trip. Just 45 minutes. Mom and I chatted all the way there. Talked about the dogs, Ashley mom's cleaning lady. Just all kinds of things. Mom and I can always find things to chat about when we are together.  Her appointment was for 11:15 but she got in at 11:09. She felt like she was in there forever ,but I was reading and it went by fast I thought. Usually after her appointment we go to lunch at a rib place.But mom was feeling tired so we decided to just go to Wendy's drive through and eat in the van. The trip back seems a bit faster and again we can chat about anything. I think that is why the trip seems short to me. Mom seemed like the trip really tired her out. Mom seemed more out of breath than normal. But, I think she gets like that more in the colder weather.

When we got home the dogs were happy and ready to go outside. I hung around till time to pick Ashley up from school. This was Ashley's day to stay after and extra 30 minutes for her Journal club.



These pictures are from the last time we came. I think that was June. Ashley was out for the summer. Mom's next appt. is in June. So we already plan on Ashley going again and eating at Calhoun's!

Ashley did her homework and just as she finished she got a text. Andrew invited her to come watch his sister , "Allison's" choir perform at the middle school. So her dad ran her there and they later brought her home. I baked some and got to bed early. I felt so tired! Dozed off by 8 then woke up when Tim came  to bed at 10:00. Didn't take long for me to fall back to sleep :)
