Today has been a long one. I think because I was so tired! It was long ,but also beautiful outside!! So I guess not so bad. Ashley went with a few friends last night to see "Breaking Dawn". They went late, like 9:50PM . I would not let her stay the night since she had "Tae Kwon Do" today at noon. I knew she would be too tired. But, that meant I had to stay up late to pick her up. Tim drove so we both stayed up. I guess she might see it again, I might want to go in a couple weeks. Not sure I can wait till it comes out on DVD.
Ashley had "Tae Kwon Do" at noon today. She is still very quiet in class, but then when it is her turn she changes her mood and comes out punching! Maybe that is her secret weapon! Andrew, her boyfriend came to watch. That was very nice of him. I think he enjoyed the class. The Saturday classes are 90 minutes. Today they did sparring. I love watching the kids spar. Ashley also has class on Tuesdays and Thursdays for an hour. When they spar there is allot of standing around while they each have turns. I find it intereting to watch. Most the time I watch 30 minutes and workout the rest of the time. The classes are at the YMCA. Today the young man paired up as Ashley's partner got kicked upside the head. I could tell it really hurt. It can be a rough sport! Luckily when starting out white and green belts can't be kicked or hit on the head! So her braces are safe! I was told to get her a special mouth guard for her braces, but the hope is they are coming off soon.
Thursady Ashley saw her friend Zoe at the YMCA after class. She was swimming. Ashley talked to her and she is taking swim lessons. I think it is just to do more advance dives, because Ashley said she would like to learn more dives. Ashley has always talked about being a lifeguard. I am proud to mention she is a great swimmer, so with some hard work and patience I bet she can do it! I just want her to plan to be a lifeguard at the "YMCA", not sure about the public pools around here..
Ashley has also been missing Tap dance classes. So I am planning on getting her back into a Tap class somewhere. Hopefully at The Dance Force. But ,if they try to put her with kids on a lower level just because she is not competing, we will have to go somewhere else. I guess after Christmas I'll look into it. She also is enjoying an hour of guitar each week and will be starting piano soon. Well, if I see her practicing. Other wise I'll save my money! Sounds like she is a busy bee. She use to be at dance all the time so it feels like she gets bored easy. Just an hour here and there is not much to her. I like she likes being active. When she is not she sits playing games on her Ipad. I'd rather her be enjoying time with people in person. I think she does to.
I almost forgot, Ashley has been excepted in the HS literary club. That is right up her alley! She is very excited. She loves writing stories. She told me she thinks they do editing for a literary magazine which she finds interesting. Next year she has been told she can probably get onto the Year book staff. All this will help her when she gets ready for college I hope!! Well, I think I caught up on everything to do with Ashley. I might go on and on about her, but she is my one and only so it is easy to do so :)
After we got home from the YMCA ,I started baking for the Church supper we are going to tomorrow . I baked Lemon Blossoms and Ashley dipped them in the glaze. Tomorrow I'll make some cream corn and maybe some Apple raison salad. A favorite of mine :)
