Father's Day

Today Fathers Day was celebrated in many ways. First Mom,Kenny,Ashley,Tim and I took new flowers to place on my Father's grave. If Dad were here he would have probably spent the day mowing and enjoying his yard while mom would grill for dinner. I miss dad and going to see him on fathers Day. He was always puttering with something in his work shop and by now he would have built something big, or at least a few big bird houses. His first project when he started back into wood work around 2003 was a birdhouse. We all laughed about it because it took him weeks to complete. Then it was a pretty big bird house and was almost to heavy. That birdhouse is still on it's post although it is looking a bit rugged. I bet many birds have enjoyed that house. Dad would be smiling and saying "I told you I did a good job on that".

Later we met Ashley's friend Mykayla at her mom's restaurant. She had invited Tim to Outback for a Father's Day lunch. That was very nice. Her mom came out to from the kitchen to say hello. Her Grandmother had lunch with us and Mykayla gave Tim a movie gift card. Tim looked like a King!!

After lunch we took Mykayla home with us while her mom and Grandma stayed at work. Tim was feeling a pain in his back from picking up an old monitor earlier this morning so he ended up moaning,groaning and laying on the couch the rest of the day. The girls enjoyed playing with the WII after a long time spent in the playroom.

At the end of the day Ashley went home to spend the night with Mykayla and I was left to do all the plant watering since Tim is still laying on the couch .
