Woke up achy this morning. I had a weird dream that I was shot in the leg and when I woke up in the middle of this weird dream it was to a burning pain in my right leg. I woke Tim up trying to get the hurt to stop. I was so tired when morning actually came! Today was full of errands. Ran van to Honda dealership to check door lock again, made a stop at Hobby Lobby, went by moms then Wal-Mart. Then it was time to pick up Ashley. I messed around and didn't walk. I probably did not need to being my foot ached and leg was still a bit achy.

Mom sent a gift of
Greenies to Shadow :)
I think I mentioned mom sent Sam, our neighbor a Fruit Bouquet. Well, it really made him happy. I am sure it was a nice feeling to know someone cares. Mom was smart to think of that, because it is hard to know what to send a man. Especially an elderly man. Tonight Tim, Ashley and I went by to see him again. Tomorrow he is going to be taken to Vanderbilt for a surgery to remove some fluid. Ashley said she wanted to go, I wasn't going to make her  if she did not want to. Ashley drew him a picture and it brought tears to his eyes. He is such a kind ,sweet and gentle soul. I hate seeing him like this. He said he wanted to hang her picture where he could see it tonight. He recalled when Ashley was around 3 or 4 and she was on our driveway.Tim was mowing and I was in the flower beds. Sam said he walked over and picked her up. She whispered in his ear," I am not allowed to cross the street'. I guess she was wanting to visit him so stood there watching him. She use to love to go visit the older neighbors and would even walk down to the Burkhalter's when she was 7. I would watch her till she got to the door. I thought that was so sweet ,they all took the time to talk to a little girl. Mrs. Burkhalter would treat her to tea and cookies. Ashley was the only small child in the neighborhood and the neighbors were all so happy when we moved here, I think it was because they had a small child to add some laughter to their ears.

Checking out Tim's chocolates
I hope Sam gets to come back home once more.I'd like to go sit and chat with him and here his stories. He has told us in the past about being in world war 2. I think he was wounded and sent home. We had another neighbor who told us stories too. They,The Burkhalters  once had us all over and that was when Sam and Mr. Burkhalter started talking about the war. It was very interesting. Ashley was a toddler and did not go. The Burkhalters moved 5 years ago to be closer to their kids. They were up in age too. I hear they are still doing good.

Beautiful!

getting medical attention

When we got home Tim and I watched some TV .This day just kind of blew by. I hope to get more done tomorrow including some decoration packing and scrapbooking. The thing we did that was most important was visiting Sam!
