It's all about the customer

It has been a busy few weeks. I listed 2 homes and had contracts on both homes in just a week. One was my brother's house. The other folks were good friends. A couple that are also friends of ours have been looking at homes to buy and found one they liked, made and offer and after a few counters came to an agreement on some work the owner would do and that is now working out for them. Real estate can be tough. It's not all just finding a buyer or a seller. There is the after math where you struggle to get the right offer for your seller, the right price for your buyer and trying to get work done on homes that need it. It is making sure the wording is correct on the contract.Keeping your clients from stressing out and explaining why we could not get full price in today's market or why we could not get it cheaper in today's market. It is crazy in this business. My problem is I get to know everyone as a friend and want the best I can get them and really stress about it, since they are now a friend. I guess that is the good side as well. This time selling my brothers house as been tough,Finding the right price when pricing acreage is not easy.especially when no acreage has sold in a while. It is like a crap shoot. But, I think I got it right on , I had the enthusiasm of my co agents telling me it was the right price as well. Now with both homes we have been through or waiting for inspections, hoping all is good and so far it is. Termite letters must be ordered and then the appraisal. I am not worried about any of that but it is still in the back of your head. When sellers feel they have a great home that is well maintained and they sell it at a good price for tdays market ,then being asked to fix small things is very aggravating. So now I sit and hope everything works out and it will. But, I have to worry till it does.
Thanksgiving is here,Christmas is near.I have now had 2 years at this pretty interesting job to say the least. Tim has joined me in this interesting adventure, together we have come a long way.I think I'll be in it for the
long haul.It is probably the most fascinating job I have ever had,but also the hardest!!
