Ashley's GS troop was having a first of the year bash at the leader's house. Bad thing is 2 were out of town,1 was sick and one has decided as much as she enjoyed it, she is too old! She is just 1 year older than Ashley and the other girls are her age.Our troop did so many wonderful things last year from going to see the "Rocketts" to over night adventures and going to the Space museum. How could you be too old for horse back riding,scrap booking or having a piggy party where you get a spa treatment for your toes. h well, It is sad when members leave but it just makes way for a new member and new friends. This year will be even better.I as the Co Leader will be keeping busy with over night scrapbook crops for kids and mom and usually I am the one who does any camping or over nights..
Of course I have a few photos from the party. Since everyone was out of town for the last week before school started we only had a couple kids. Ashley received her awards and patches at the party as did the others. I never think you are too old for Girl Scouts. The older you get the things you do are focused toward the ages. This year our girls will be going on some wonderful trips where they will learn and have fun.
