These are some more pictures from our trip to Gatlinburg a couple weeks back. One of my favorite places we went this time was to "Parrot Mountain". It was really on a small mountain so make sure if you go your vehicle has some good pick up,because it is very steep. Also you might think about the walking. We were just fine but if you have any problems with walking this place will challenge you, hills and more steep hills. The fun thing about Parrot Mountain is the way they have it set up. You get to mingle with parrots. They are all around you. They eat out of your hands, they'll sit on you shoulders and if you mess with the wrong one you might get a little bite! This place also rescues birds and they raise babies. So if you are in the market for a beautiful parrot this is the place to go. Keeping in mind they are NOT cheap. The baby parrot that caught Tim's attention was the most $$ at $3000.00!! He can only dream for now or sale allot of houses :o)I guess we spent at least 2 or more hours at Parrot Mountain. It was a little pricey costing us at least $85.00 by the time we were finished. You know we had to buy the family photo of us and the birds sitting on us. We had to buy some food so we could feed the parrots and then more food, nectar for the other smaller birds. It adds up,but it was our mini vacation so you gotta have fun!! Besides I felt good spending money at a place that seems to have such respect for the creatures and even rescues them.
