It's Webkin's World at our house

I am sure if you have kids you know about the Webkin's. It started simple enough over one year ago. A friend of Ashley received a Webkin for Christmas. It's allot of fun she told our daughter. So naturally she got one or two for her Birthday. Then it started. It was "THE NEW THING" of the moment. Before we knew it everyone was getting them and everytime anyone sent a gift to Ashley for any reason it was a cute Webkin. It does not matter how many she has, each one is special and loved . If you somehow don't know, Webkin's are these cuddley little stuffed animals. They are not just any stuffed animal though. These cute little guys come with a code. You type this code in on the Webkin's website. That code gives you your very own virtual online pet that resembles the stuffed toy the code came from. I know from watching Ashley play, you can buy things for the pet by earning money, fix up a home for your pet, give gifts to your friends pet and even let your friends come visit your house and pet by giving them your password or something like that. You can even chat ,but it is for kids so you can really just pick prepared words and not type in your own. It is a great site. Ashley does not get on all the time ,this summer it was an indoor activity she enjoyed when there was not an activity going on or while she was at Grandma's.. How many does she have after almost 16 months. The picture is the best way to tell you. She just got 4 more that are in this pile from friends at her belated party Saturday. They all have names too. How she remembers I have no clue. Ashley loves each and everyone but she also can tell you who gave her which one. Once I mistakingly mention I had given her a paticular one, she set me straight by telling me her dad gave her THAT one. She has always been good at remembering where something came from.. They each get a special day when she'll carry that one around and have it snuggled up next to her at bedtime. I am sure these will be kept for many years. Even once she gets too old for them and puts them away We'll save them because they hold some great memories for her. I guess this is why I have so much stuff in my attic and closets.I have too many good memories saved up :o)
