So today was the first day of Ashley's new beginning. She started college at Austen Peay State University, It is better sweet to see my daughter all grown up and ready to enter adult hood. I know these days will pass by very quickly and I need to slow it down a notch and take time to share in some moments of Ashley's college life even if just by picking her up for lunch and asking her about her day. I am hopeful she might get into a choir and have some little recitals we can attend. . Ashley achieved the Presidential Scholarship and has all her tuition paid as well as her books. Life is good for her right now and I hope she keeps up the grades and enjoys her few years as a "Peanut" at APSU! I hope she savors every moment and does not wish it to hurry by. I am thankful she has a few close friends to spend some spare time with on campus and she knows who she is doing her volunteer work for ( Andrew's mom). I pray that Ashley's time at APSU is a wonderful time in her life.
Today she had a history and a psychology class she said she enjoyed. I am exited to see how tomorrow goes and her first day to do her volunteer work.
For me and my day, I took my mother to her Kidney Dr. We go to Nashville. We use to go every 6 months and now it is every 4. Today Kenny met us. Mom had a bad case of gout over the past 2 weeks and has been weak and unable to walk as well. Kenny helped us out by taking time off work and helping push mom in a wheelchair. I am not sure I could have pushed her that far. Her diagnosis is no change which I guess is better than getting worse. After we left The Dr. and Kenny we hit Panera bread for lunch. This is all a big outing for us and I know it wears mom out. I seem to need a nap after the big adventure through all that Nashville Traffic myself.
Ashley had work tonight. I hope she knows if it starts to effect school it is time to cut hours or possible take a break till summer. As for me I walk 45 minutes and am planning to get myself back into shape. I need to get back to weight class as I was told to keep my good cholesterol up. My plan is to start back the beginning of September. For now I am back into pilates with semi private classes at "The Hidden You" and trying to do 2-3 spin classes a week. I hope to get back into aerobics by October. Those are my goals :)
