So who knew they were still around? Our Troops leader,Carol suggested we take the girls to see the Globe Trotters. I asked, are they still around?? Yes they are! The girls had NO clue who, what or why they needed to see them. We bought our tickets knowing it should be a pretty good show, but not real sure if the girls would think so. It was freezing cold last night. We headed out as a group around 5:30. We made it to the DUNN center at APSU by 5:40 ,It was so cold I could hardly stand the walk to the Stadium from the parking lot!! The girls had fun posing for my Camera, till I realized I was not getting a single picture!! Can you believe I left the card at home in my PC from the last time I uploaded pics. Oh, I was so upset!! Luckily, the kids could pose with the player's and have their photo taken by their photographers. Yes, it was gonna cost us. I guess when you are a photomaniac like me you just pay up!
The fun started by 7. The girls laughed at the first part of the entertaining show. The best part started once the Harlem Globe Trotters started out on the floor. They did all the fancy dribbles, turns and tricks. Who would guess the girls would have so much fun watching a basketball game!! They loved it so much they begged and begged for a jersey. They gave that pitiful pleading look, and of course they got their way. They got the jerseys with white and pink lettering. The best part was watching them get the autographs on their jerseys. It was priceless. They left happy and talking about their fun night. All were excited to show off their cool Jerseys at school the next day.
