I had a client coming in Saturday to look at homes . At the last minute he called and said he did not get cleared by the army yet. This gave way for a day of much needed yard work. Tim and I got out in the yard and did some weeding. We have so many plant beds and every one of them seems to have weeds this year. I guess it was a good day for it because it was not hot but a little cool. I had to wear my sweats and a hoodie to keep from getting cold. Tim has done more than I have at this point but I did get out last weekend for a time with Tim and Ashley. We did a little Friday as well. The yard is looking better now that we have about 1/2 of the weeding done. The big effort this year is to keep the deer out of all my plants and flowers. Seems like the past 2 years they have chomped down on every plant they could. Leaving me with NO lilies or hosta. They even ate the Japanese red maples out by the driveway. Tim bought "DEER AWAY" last weekend and I sprayed everything. So far it looks like it is working. Bad part is we have to spray every 30 days. I can probably do everything with one bottle though. So for $20 a month it is worth it. I wonder who else has been working in their yard this year?
