Ashley's "Anne Frank" Presentation

Ashley had a big school project that she seemed to enjoy. She had a cool project, telling the story of Anne Frank as well as do a presentation that included a poster, food and even dressing as Anne Frank might have dressed. Funny she wore my clothes! I wonder if she thinks I am old fashion! I must defend myself and mention I have never worn that skirt and shirt together. Ashley memorized her poem and said it out loud to her class. She made a nice presentation with her board and chose a tasty treat called "ButterKuchen"( Butter cake). Ashley was not feeling well so I made the cake for her. Ashley even came up with the idea to make a Stra of David with some gold paper I had. She said anne Frank always wore the star around her neck. her teacher commented how smart she was for adding that special touch to her presentation. I could see a twinkle in Ashley's eye.

I was really excited that I was invited to come to the school and watch the presentations. On the morning Ashley was presenting hers there were 6 kids doing the same. I was the only mom that made it on this day. I thought it was great to attend. I have not had any oppertunities like this since her elementary school years. I took some pics unnoticed by using the Iphone instead of pulling out the big Canon Rebel. I thought at their age the kids might think I was crazy to take pics. Ashley did not seem to mind at all and did a little pose. After they all finished serving the treats they all got their school clothes back on and and I headed on home.
