We get so busy getting things done. taking days to decorate that we forget to enjoy the moments of each day. I hope something about this year will stand out in our DD's mind. Something will make this a year she will always remember.Maybe it was the caroling she got to do for the first time with her school choir. Might it be going to see the Rocketts and the beautiful Nativity. I hope she recalls the night we spent snuggled up on the couch watching a funny Christmas movie or the cookies she put out for Santa on a plate. She hopefully will remember the tradition we have of going to my mothers house to open gifts and how Ginger tried to grab her gift from Uncle Terry. It was different with out my sister and her family there. My brother could not make it and it has been 3 Christmas's now with out my Father. But we were all together at heart and we still had smiles and always feel dad's spirit with us. I wonder if he were here if he would have worn his big sandals on his feet with those white socks. That always made me laugh. Robin and her family did get here a few days later and we spent time with them. We got to spend Christmas day at Grandpa Cash's home and he was almost in tears having his family there with him for the first time on Christmas. It is nice he moved closer to us. If we start to forget the memories we made I can pull out a layout I have created and we can smile and remember this Christmas. It was a busy one due to my job I started a year ago but I think we still had some moments we will always cherish.
